Why We're Obsessed with These Vegan Dog Treats

Leela Ryan Dog Treats

Leela Ryan Dog Treats

You know that feeling when you look at an ingredient list and don't recognize any of the words? And so you Google them and realize you're basically just munching on a bunch of chemicals? Yep, terrifying.

Well, we try to hunt down foods that are made with whole, natural ingredients—both for ourselves and for Dave. That's why we could hardly believe our luck when we discovered Leela Ryan dog treats.

These chemical-free vegan dog biscuits each contain just three ingredients. You read that right: three ingredients. How amazing is that? No wheat, no soy, no corn, and no preservatives.

You guys know I'm a sucker for cute packaging and Leela Ryan totally nails that, too. The treats come in soft pastel packets with flavors that sound more like a tea party menu than a dog biscuit. No gross smells and no ugly bags sitting on the counter—total win-win.

We tried out three flavors—Banana Pudding, Tarte Aux Pommes, and Dave's favorite, Wild Berry Scones. If you can't tell from the pictures, he loved them all, but he went especially crazy for the scones.

It still seems like magic to me that there are just three ingredients in each one. Here's what you'll get per flavor:

Wild Berry Scones: Oats, Strawberries, Blueberries

Banana Pudding: Oats, Peanut Butter, Banana

Tarte Aux Pommes: Oats, Apple, Cinnamon

We definitely recommend these and will be ordering more in the future. You can shop Leela Ryan treats here or read their story here.
