Happy Friday, everyone! I could not be more excited that it’s the weekend.

As many of you know from Instagram, we packed up our NYC apartment one week ago and drove cross-country to Seattle with both of our dogs. It was a bit of a crazy plan—especially since a lot of the country is still snowy in March—but thankfully, everything went smoothly. We drove from New York to Chicago on Friday, and then spent Saturday with Josh’s parents in Chicago. On Sunday, we drove up to Minneapolis and stayed with his siblings there for a night. Having family to stay with really helped break up the first part of the trip; the dogs got their wiggles out playing with puppy cousins and Josh and I got to unwind a bit. From Minneapolis, we drove straight to Billings, Montana and spent the night at a hotel there. Then we did a longggg final day of driving and got to Seattle late Tuesday night.

As smoothly as the trip went, I think I can speak for all four of us when I saw that we’re VERY glad to be out of the car. We’ll be staying at my parents’ house just outside of Seattle for the next few weeks while we house-hunt, and the dogs are loving being spoiled by their grandparents and exploring their huge lawn.
