I need someone to explain to me why fall just makes me want to buy things.
Was I brainwashed by years of back-to-school shopping? Have I watched too many Nora Ephron movies that made me idealize cozy clothing? Or do I just love wearing orange? TBD.
All that said, I truly find fall to be completely magical and maybe that’s why I get so excited to shop for it. Almost every big life milestone I’ve had has happened in the fall: I moved to New York after college in the fall, got my first job in the fall, met my husband in the fall, got engaged in the fall, launched The Dapple in the fall, brought home puppy-Dave in the fall, had my first baby in the fall, bought my first house in the fall, and now my first book is coming out in the fall. Tell me that’s not kind of weird?
