Blame it on my hippie Seattle childhood, but I've always dreamed of driving off into the sunset in a vintage Airstream.
While that may not be happening anytime soon, I can tell you that I will definitely be planning a trip to Caravan Outpost in Ojai, California ASAP. How awesome is this—it's a boutique hotel where you can stay in a vintage Airstream without sacrificing creature comforts like luxury bedding and WiFi. And did I mention that they also allow you to bring your dog?
Guests can book one of the hotel's eleven Airstreams—five of which are dog-friendly—for rates starting at $179 a night. Each Airstream has its own patio area with amenities like chairs and hammocks. Guests also have access to a luxurious shared bathhouse, a central campfire and general store where they can borrow bikes, buy a bottle of wine, or just hang out and get to know their neighbors.
