What’s your first Halloween memory?

Believe it or not, mine is making the recipe that inspired this post.

I was invited to my first real Halloween party when I was maybe six? We each had to bring a treat to share and my mom and I chose a recipe that I think I found in a kids’ magazine where you melted globs of white chocolate into ghost lollipops and added red hots for little ghosty eyes.

It was one of the first things I had ever cooked and everyone at the party loved my little ghosts and I was SO proud. I remember requesting ghosty lollipops year-round for the next few years.

This year as I was brainstorming Halloween pup recipes, I decided I wanted to do a dupe of that OG Halloween recipe that made me completely fall in love with the holiday—but with pup-friendly ingredients.

The best part of this ghost recipe is that it just needs two ingredients: plain nonfat Greek yogurt and baby carrots. You don’t even technically need a popsicle stick if you just want to make little ghost melts and toss them to your pup to eat whole. Personally, I think the popsicle sticks make the whole thing a little fun, though. 👇🏻

I tried the recipe a few ways—first by slicing baby carrots to make the ghost eyes and then again by using blueberries. TBH, they both worked well, so use what you have on hand.
